FASA Star Trek: Starship Tactical Combat Simulator for PC

This person has done a wondeful job of recreating on PC, the old FASA Star Trek: Starship Tactical Combat Simulator. With a very few exceptions this small program is exaclty like the pen and paper game, at least the space combat end of it. I strongly recommend all of my players to download the game, patches, and add ons, and become familiar with it. It will save you tons of time when we start the old fashioned game, as almost everything we will be doing on paper are included in the game. There is a movement in the various FASA Star Trek groups and lists to make all ships, from all races, and eras available. You can also design your own ships, and create custom scenarios. I'll be uploading some scenarios here for the benefit of my players.

The Crimson's Pirates Scenarios

To use these right click on them, choose "save target as" and download them to your C:\Program Files\Star Trek STCS\Scenarios directory. Some of these are based on events in one of the series or movies, reproducing classic battles, at least crudely. Others are based on combats that occurred in one or another of our Star Trek games back in the old days. Yet other will be flights of fancy, and custom scenarios for my own purposes. In the future also look here for new ships based on both our old, and new games.

Balance of TerrorThe classic Romulan Bird of Prey verses the Constitution class Enterprise from the TOS episode Balance of Terror.

Kobayashi MaruThe classic Star Fleet Academy test for new officers, and cadets. It was experienced by Lt. Saavik in ST II: the Wrath of Khan. Of course subsequent waves are not possible with the PC game, but I challenge you to beat three D-7M's.

The Wrath of KhanAnother ST II scenario. This is the classic Enterprise class USS Enterprise verses the Reliant class USS Reliant.

Pirate EncounterThis is a custom scenario in which an Enterprise class ship, an Andor class ship, a Chandley class ship, and a Reliant class ship face off against four Orion Wanderer class vessels, and three Orion Lightning class vessels.

Thetia 1A tribute scenario based on our old Romulan campaign. A single V-7 Whitewind against a Klingon D-7M. You'll soon discover why the cloaking device is so imoportant to Romulans.
