Celarion is a Sylvan elf born in Ost-in-Edhel before its destruction. He loved magic but was scorned by the haughty Noldor of the Gwaith-i-Mirdain, and left to seek knowledge on his own. He is quick, relatively tough, and has become quite skilled in his magical studies.
After visiting Imladris, he wandered for a time in Rhudaur before finding himself in the village of Thuin Boid. There he met Sian who was forming her adventuring party. She convinced him to join her, and he has been the party's mage ever since. He has a seperate building in the party's compound north of Thuin Boid. This is primarily because he has set the main house on fire on at least two occassions, in defense against attacks, of course.
Celarion quickly became best friends with the party's healer, a rural man named Dinal. They work well as a magical team, and compliment each others abilities.
One of the most unusual aspects of his association with his new friends is the romance that has bloomed between Celarion, and Jana, the party's hobbit scout. Generally they keep it under wraps so as not to draw attention in public, but the party knows. While it is a bit odd, and certain physical details occassionally have to be delt with, this is left up to the two to sort out on their own.
