Corry
Corry is not your typical "Hobbit from the Shire". He was one of those odd children whose interests run to adventure, and verge on being criminal. As a youth he ran away many times, getting as far as Bree before being caught. He held a job from a young age, but his tendency to rebel against authority, and act without thinking lead him into petty crime. He developed a talent for thrown weapons, and accumulated a respectable amount of money, and good equipment. He also developed skill in using a weapon in each hand, a technique now employed by several other party members. Finally he was caught for some small offense and spent some time in jail. After getting out he gave up crime altogether, and went so far in his self reform as to join the Sheriffs. He got to use his skills against orcs, bandits, and trolls, and there was nothing wrong with looting orc treasure, if the proper owner couldn't be found, of course.
Since childhood he had been enamored of a fiery young Hobbit girl named Kadia. She had many suitors, and came from a well to do family, so he never made an approach. When she finally ran away, her father and the Sheriffs pursued her to Bree. Unwilling to go further, her father offered a reward of 90 Gold pieces to whoever found her, and brought her back. Corry volunteered immediately, retiring from the Sheriffs, and pursuing Kadia to Caras Marad.
Kadia proved to be tougher, and more stubborn than anyone anticipated (which attracted Corry even more), and had joined a group of adventurers, who also didn't want to lose her. Decimus payed Corry 90 Gold leave Kadia alone, and the group recruited Corry.
Corry knows he is the best fighter, and smartest member of the party, though subordinate in position to Sage. Thinking of himself as a hero out of some ancient tale, he is epitome of the phrase "Legend in his own mind". He considers it his duty, and obligation to protect the others, and to take risks so others don't have to. It is especially important to him to protect Kadia, though it's all the things that cause her to need protection that attract him to her.
