Rena was born to the noble Beorning people who make their homes east of the Misty Mountains. She enjoyed singing, and learned the use of different instruments.

Finding work as an entertainer in a nearby village, she became ostricized from her people. This drove her to leave, and cross the mountains to seek knowledge, and songs in the wide world. She found herself in Thuin Boid, where she joined a party of adventurers lead by a Noldor named Cedain. After a short tour of duty she decided to leave, feeling Cedain didn't treat his people well. Sneaking off in the night, she took two other adventurers, and a wounded, and mangled outcast orc named Larec. After getting Larec healed she found a new group for herself, and her comrades to join.

Rena is happy with Larecs skills as a warrior, but rebuffs his obvious interest in her. After all, he is an orc. She has her doubts about some of her new comrades, who seem a bit foppish to her. Unlike most of her kin, Rena has an almost pathological dislike of body hair, and shaves frequently, and meticulously.
